Question: Referencing question for you.... In my starting costs section I give several websites. Do I have to put those in the resources if the websites are given in the text?
Answer: Yes, even though it is already in the text of the section you are working on, you always need to provide full reference documentation (such as when you accessed site, etc.) in the references section.
Question: When using a list, does each bullet need to be in quotes or is best to paraphase each one just attribute it at the end using the actual words of the author?
Answer: Well, let's see; in the APA manual, a quotation of more than 40 words should be in a freestanding block with the quotation marks ommitted. So, lists could be exact quotes, presented indented from the body of the text.
Question: If you change an author's word in a quote, For example, from children and teenager's to students, is there a rule that says it needs to be in parenthesis? I currently have it italicized.
Answer: For the ommitted words you would use three spaced ellipsis points (. . .) and for the inserted text, students, you would use brackets, instead of parentheses.
Question: What about the Video Game Revolution source? It is a website on PBS' site. It looks like it was a video, but the site has text information.
Answer: You would cite the specific web page the information comes from; other than that, it would be difficult to be specific. For example, if your were looking at the interactive history timeline, you would reference the following: http://www.pbs.org/kcts/videogamerevolution/history/timeline_flash.html
Question: How about sites like ESA? Specifically for documenting in the paragraph a reference to the page of the site?
Answer: If I am understanding your question - on a web page you would document the paragraph the information came from. Instead of p. 4, you would use ΒΆ symbol or the abbreviations para.
Question: Do we document the Glossary terms as well?
Answer: YES.
Question: How do you do a parenthetical citation for webpage from a website with no author or published year? Ex: Glossary of Games Terms. Retrieved July 22, 2007, from Games Investor Consulting, LTD. Web site: http://www.gamesinvestor.com/Research/Glossary/glossary.html
